Meet the Tomblins
Five Generations of Family Commitment
At 3rd Degree Angus, the Tomblin family carries forward a legacy of farming and cattle ranching that spans five generations in Saskatchewan. While we remain progressive grain farmers, our passion for cattle has always been a part of our farm's history, starting from the moment our ancestors set foot in Canada.

Nearly a decade ago, we ventured into purebred Angus cattle, but our roots in cattle ranching go much deeper. Lyndon Tomblin began his journey with cattle in 1995, starting his own commercial herd, which was black Angus-based. By 2000, he joined forces with his father, Terry, and together they built a herd of 250 commercial females. During those years, we recognized the incredible benefits of using high-quality, purebred Black Angus bulls from local breeders. This realization spurred Lyndon to take an AI course and experiment with Black Angus genetics, always striving for better cattle.
​Our children, Maggie, Macey and Abigale, grew up involved in 4-H, participating in both the local light horse and beef clubs, instilling in them the values and skills needed for a life in agriculture.

Today, 3rd Degree Angus is a family operation where we are committed to raising high-quality, sound, functional, and maternally strong cattle. We believe in building relationships with like-minded breeders and continually improving our herd with genetics that bring profitability to those we work with. We are proud of our heritage and excited about the future as we continue to breed cattle that reflect the values of hard work, quality, and innovation.
